The Only Job That Matters

23.04.2025

This is a reminder—perhaps one you already know, but may need to hear again.

It might sound like it isn’t a “job” at all. But I’m here to argue: it is. In fact, it’s the most important job you can ever do. It’s the only job that truly matters.

Which job, you wonder?

Your inner connection.

Everyone Lives on the Scale of Connection

In this world, people live at various levels of connection to themselves. Some are completely disconnected, and as a result, they identify entirely with the mind construct. That can manifest as what we often call the “diseases of the mind”—depression, anxiety disorders, and similar states. Some people, on the other hand, live in a pretty solid state of connection most of the time.

We all oscillate in different degrees. Some of us move more often toward connection, others toward disconnection.

And depending on the level of connection or disconnection we’re currently embodying—our vibration changes.

Love Is the Language of Connection

Usually, with disconnection and strong identification with the mind, our frequency becomes lower. In cases of total disconnection, we become completely unaware. We identify 100% with the mind, and we begin to operate like machines. When we’re in that state, we can’t access love, because love is an attribute of connection.

When connection is present, love, gratitude, and a sense of peace arise naturally. That’s because connecting to ourselves means connecting to the source of life itself—a source that is made of those very emotions at their highest frequency.

So the closer we get to connection with ourselves, the higher our frequency rises, and the more we align with the attributes we typically assign to the divine—but that are, in truth, deeply human and alive in all living beings.

What You Embody, You Attract

Wherever we are on that spectrum of connection, our outer experience will reflect the vibrational charge we carry.

If I’m connected to myself, my energy is high, grounded, clear. I’ll naturally attract people, events, and circumstances vibrating at a similar level. Life becomes simple. Decision-making flows. I don’t have to force things; outcomes arise with little effort.

The opposite is also true. When I’m in a disconnected state, I carry a lower vibration. The more disconnected I become, the murkier everything feels—internally and externally. Confusion takes over. Challenges multiply. I begin to magnetize situations and energies that mirror my internal fragmentation.

The Power of Prioritizing Connection

You could spend 20 hours a day trying to fix problems, managing tasks, organizing things… and it wouldn’t matter nearly as much as one hour spent in connection.

Because when you connect:

  • You have clarity.

  • You can prioritize what matters.

  • Your actions are meaningful.

  • The results are aligned and effortless.

When you do the only job that matters—connecting to yourself—everything falls into place. Life becomes joyful, it doesn’t matter what you are doing.

That’s why inner connection is the only job that truly matters.
Because if you do that, and find your way to it, anything you do becomes an extension of your joy.

Redefining Success and Fulfillment

We often associate success with external achievements—status, titles, roles.
But fulfillment doesn’t live there, it lives in how connected you are. True satisfaction is not dependent on what you do, but on the energy you embody.

We’ve all met people who are connected.
You can see them. People who carry peace, who meet you with presence. Who seem content, not because everything in their life is perfect, but because they are in touch with their essence or soul.

That presence isn’t a gift reserved for a few.

It’s available to all.

And it begins with one choice: To connect within.

The Invitation

So here is the invitation:

Before tending to anything else in your day, tend to your connection.

Sit in silence. Breathe. Feel your body.
Listen to what’s alive within you.

Meditate. Journal. Excercize.
Do whatever works for you.

Because this one act—this one “job”—will shape everything that follows.
